Steven Schroeder 
Steven Schroeder was born in a small house by Shawano Lake and was raised in the Frank Settlement area outside of Gillett. He worked for many years in the logging industry, home construction, and, finally, retired from a pallet factory a few years ago.
He is a multi-talented visionary who built his own home completely by himself without any education in architecture or construction. He loves to do gardening and tinker around the house. There aren’t many tasks that are out of his reach of understanding or ability.
His great love is the outdoors. That is where the “shack” comes in for Out in the Shack Artistry. Steven has built himself a small home-away-from-home in the woods behind his house. A tiny getaway enclosed by trees and nature where he creates his beautiful works of art.
